Ron Parker (1942 - )
Parker began painting wildlife at the age of 35, being greatly influenced by the work of Fenwick Lansdowne. Parker’s intent in painting wildlife was to depict the bird or animal in its typical natural landscape. The artist was published by Mill Pond Press and since the nineteen eighties has produced more than four hundred wildlife reproductions. In 1993 he was commissioned to do a four coin Sea Otter collectors set for the Royal Canadian Mint. Parker’s last wildlife show was held in 2003 in Victoria, B.C. The artist continues to work on landscapes and portraits in acrylics and oils. |
